Run, Run, as Fast as you can!

Day #2: Making gingerbread cookies and then eating them until we were so sick that we won't be able to bear looking at another gingerbread man until next Christmas. Harley helped by sucking on the cookie cutters before we used them! Guess we won't be delivering these to the neighbors, or will we? (insert evil laugh)

Last night we also had our very first visit from Ispy the Elf. Ispy is my super-creative alternative to the mega-expensive book entitled The Elf on the Shelf! Okay, actually Ispy is my cheap, generic, and possibly lame version of The Elf on the Shelf. I used an elf ornament that I have had for a few years. He left the kids a message explaining how Santa finally brought him to life after all these years and sent him to watch over the Butler children. He also told them how he was a bit clumsy, which is how he managed to spill glitter all over our fireplace and rug. Atley was skeptical but Nash was ecstatic.
